Trataka, a technique used in meditation, is one of the six purification techniques, called shatkarmas, of Hatha yoga. Trataka is a Sanskrit word, which means “to look” or “to gaze.” As such, this meditation technique starts at a single focus point. This is typically the flame of a candle, but other objects that may be used include a dot on the wall, an object of worship, a deity, a flower, a mountain, rising sun, or a moon. However, a flame is believed to work best. Meditating in this way is believed to energize the ajna (third eye) Chakra, which is associated with intuition, wisdom, and psychic abilities. Traditionally, it’s said that the practice allows the past, present and future to be perceived with equal clarity.
Hypnotherapy is a technique of reducing waves of thought activity from gamma, beta, alpha, theta, and delta waves to achieve a deep relaxed/meditative/trance state, making it easier for the body and mind to release burdens, tensions, stress, as well as to make it easier for the body to do self-healing/healing himself from complaints such as ulcers, heart disease, irritability, shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, worry, stomach acid, difficulty concentrating, etc.
